What Théo does

Théo's work centers on three things: running the same scripted conversations across every app over several days, reading each app's privacy policy and data settings line by line, and auditing what the free tier and each paid tier actually include. Most of the time goes to the unglamorous part of companion reviews — coming back on day four to see whether the app still remembers the conversation from day one.

Focus areas span the AI girlfriend, roleplay, and voice-companion categories, where the gap between the sales page and the app tends to be widest.

The methodology Théo maintains

Every Meet After Hour ranking follows the same framework: pin down what the app promises, test whether it delivers over days rather than minutes, then hold every app to the same bar. Vague privacy policies and hidden credit systems are flagged rather than guessed at, and aggregated user reports inform the limitations section of each ranking.

Editorial independence

Meet After Hour earns affiliate commissions when readers sign up through our links, but the rankings are built before any commercial relationship is considered — and commission never changes the order. If a top-ranked app has no affiliate program, it still ranks first.
